Gary Zook has had more than 20 years experience training riding and showing Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation horses. Teaming up with Mike Henaghan in the 1980's they successfully brought such names as Cheryl Wilson, Darren Graziano, Samantha Darling Conroy, Laurel Tinney and Ray Texel to the National Equitation Finals where Ray won the Medal and Maclay Championships. They were responsible for the development of such horses as Jordache, Yes I Can, Gucci, Miracle, Bremen and Sassoon. Later Gary, with his former partner Ken Berkley, created River's Edge, a first class show barn and training center where they developed horses such as Tell The Truth, Barrister, November Rain and Speechless in addition to bringing Meredith Taylor to the National Equitation Finals. Later with Meredith, Gary attained "Big Capitol" and "Viktor", who later became Grand Prix Horse of the Year with McLain Ward. More recently, while at Full Cry Farm in Middleburg, Virginia, Gary started and developed such horses as Naomi (now winning at Grand Prix Level with Molly Ashe) and the Conformation Hunter "Thursday Nite" who was later purchased by Douglas and Kenneth Wheeler and Cismont Manor Farm. In addition, Gary has attained 8 Championships or Reserve Championships in the AHSA/USAE, ASPCA, WIHS and USET Finals and achieved numerous titles in the National Pony Finals. Gary is well known for his many successful clinics conducted in Canada, Arizona, California, Colorado, Pennsylvania and around the country. For many years, Gary has been a familiar face at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg, Pa., the Washington International Horse Show, the former National Horse Show in Madison Square Garden and the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida. Gary's equestrian experiences have taken him around the world... Now he returns to his roots in his home state of New Jersey.
